ReGen Music offers community based music therapy services to school aged children and adolescents who for a range of reasons may be disengaging from friends, family, school or their community. Individual or group programs provide opportunity for participants to process life events or circumstance, explore identity, and develop a deeper understanding of the role music can play in their own health and wellbeing.
Delivered by registered music therapists, ReGen Music services are specifically targeted to participants’ needs and aim to:
- Identify and respond to signs of trauma
- Provide opportunity for choice, control and safe communication
- Develop self-compassion and self-regulation skills
- Explore identity and resilience
- Validate and celebrate difference and diversity
- Explore and promote connectedness and belonging
- Educate regarding healthy uses of music
