Statement of Commitment to Child Safety
PaKT4Change is committed to child safety and participation. We support and respect all children, as we do all people, and recognise that children thrive when they are safe, happy and empowered.
We maintain zero tolerance for child abuse, and treat seriously all allegations and safety concerns in accordance with robust policies and procedures. We act on our legal and moral obligations without delay, contacting authorities when we are worried about a child’s safety.
PaKT4Change is committed to preventing child abuse: to identifying risks early and to taking the necessary actions to remove and reduce these risks. We have robust human resource and recruitment practices and are committed to regularly training and educating our staff and volunteers on child abuse risks.
We are committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, the cultural safety of children from a culturally and/or linguistically diverse background, and to the provision of an inclusive, safe environment for children with a disability.
To achieve our commitment, PaKT4Change maintains relevant, rigorous policies, procedures and training to support our leadership team, staff and volunteers.
